Posters to Reframe Celebrity Gossip

For this project in my Design Thinking class, we had to create a series of posters that reframed an idea that is both common and harmful within our society. I decided to create posters about the normalcy of invading celebrities’ privacy. To reframe the idea, I edited images of celebrity gossip to talk about the viewer instead of a celebrity. In this way, viewers can imagine what it would be like for their private life to be constantly surveilled and judged by millions. I used Photoshop to create the posters.

The Posters

I created posters representing 3 common scenarios where a celebrity’s privacy is invaded: a Google search, the front page of a gossip magazine, and a Twitter thread.
