Design Thinking Class Final Project
Our final project for my Design Thinking class was to improve students’ experiences with academic support resources at Dartmouth. I worked in a group with 3 other people.
User Research & Brainstorming
As a group, we conducted 64 interviews with students, tutors, TAs, professors, librarians, and undergraduate mentors. We then identified a need and emerging themes from our interviews. We created a mind map about our problem, a POV statement, “How Might We” questions, and specifications for our solution. We then brainstormed possible solutions.

Initial Prototype
After paring down our brainstormed solutions, we decided to create a website that would enable students to easily connect with tutors. We made a rough mockup of our website using Canva and then got feedback from students.

Final Prototype
I was the only member of our group who knew how to use Figma. As a result, I designed the app UI and created the Figma prototype while my group members worked on other aspects of the project. I implemented feedback from our users and from my group members into the final prototype.
